The marketing manager on training

I’m a marketing manager on training because suddenly my friends put me in this position that I really don’t know what would I do, almost everyday they are ranting on me and pushing me to my limits on doing this job. HELP!!! HELP!!! HELP!!! Give me an idiot guide for marketing manager PLEASE. I need to know how can I convince my clients to buy my product like I don’t know if they will like my product and for me that is a pressure in my side.

Definition and scope

There is no universal accepted definition/term. due to the fact that the role of a marketing manager can vary significantly based on business’ size, business culture and industry context.

For example in a large scale business the marketing manager act as the overall manager of the company and he or she assigned the company branding, product category and full profit and loss responsibility. In contrast, in a small computer cafe or in our business i don’t have no marketing personnel at all, requiring the business partners to make marketing management decisions on a largely ad-hoc basis.

Activities and functions

Marketing management therefore encompasses a wide variety of functions and activities, although the marketing department itself may be responsible for only a subset of these. Regardless of the organizational unit of the firm responsible for managing them, marketing management functions and activities include the following:

  • Marketing research and analysis
  • Marketing strategy
  • Implementation planning
  • Project, process, and vendor management
  • Organizational management and leadership
  • Reporting, measurement, feedback and control systems
