WHOLESOME TV star Carla Abellana throws all cautions to the wind and sheds off all her inhibitions in tackling her first daring role in “My Neighbor’s Wife.”
Carla goes all-out sexy and becomes a temptress in the Jun Lana movie which also showcases the acting mettle that won for her the best new movie actress plum in the recent Star Awards for Movies for her performance in Regal Entertainment’s Metro Manila filmfest entry, “Shake, Rattle & Roll 12.”
“Maganda ang resulta dahil na-test naman ako rito nang husto. Very fulfilling ang experience,” Carla says.
She adds she has enough faith and trust in Direk Jun and co-actors Dennis Trillo and Jake Cuenca.
The whole story lang is mabigat. Napaka-mature! So, nu’ng umpisa, nagdalawang-isip ako kung kakayanin ko.
Na-convince ako dahil Jun Lana ‘yan. Second, si Geoff (Eigenmann) na mismo ang nag-encourage sa aking kunin ang role. Tanggapin ko.
Sabi niya, at some point in your career, mabibigyan ka ng opportunities na hindi ka sure kung tatanggapin mo. Na kakabahan ka or matatakot. Sabi niya, kung takot ka, eh, di gawin mo para ma-overcome mo ang takot na ‘yon!
The young actress recalls.
Carla admits that Jake’s confidence in stripping before her very eyes no longer surprised her, playing as she does the role of his wife in the film.
He’s Jake Cuenca, so, hindi na ako nagulat. Endorser ‘yan ng Bench body. Nakikita natin ang abs niya sa mga billboard. So, hindi na ako na-surprise that he would do the same thing sa movie. Kasi bukod sa personality niya ‘yon, image niya ‘yon, nasa character na rin. Ang galing lang talaga,
Carla states.
In the movie, Jake cheats on her as he engages in an illicit sexual affair with Dennis’ wife, Lovi Poe. To avenge this act of infidelity, Carla gives in to Dennis’ advances and herself engage in an extra-marital affair.
Kinabahan pa rin ako nu’ng una dahil first time namin ‘yon sa movie. Mabuti na lang, umalalay siya kaya wala akong na-feel na discomfort o threat. Maalaga si Dennis,
the actress observes.
Apart from the sizzling love scenes in “My Neighbor’s Wife,” moviegoers must also watch out for that vampy scene where Carla dons a two-piece bikini for the first time onscreen.
