Sony Crowdfunding Introduces Wena

Joining the “First Flight” crowdfunding platform is Sony’s latest project: Wena. Designed with Japan’s smartwatch expert Citizen, the Wena (short for “wear electronics naturally”) features seven-color LEDs and vibrations for notifications, FeliCa-supported NFC chip for contactless payments, fitness tracking, and water resistance. Ironically, the Wena only supports iOS8 and above, meaning Sony’s own phones won’t be supported. The tech company is hoping to raise ¥10 million JPY (approximately $82,556 USD) via First Flight and hopes to ship the watches this March 2016. The Wena will come in Three Hands ($287 USD) and Chronograph ($576 USD).

Android Wear Can Now Pair with iOS

Want a smart watch to go with your iPhone but the Apple Watch just doesn’t suit your taste? Perhaps Google has what you need.

Today, Google announced the release of their Android Wear for iOS. Thanks to the new app, Android Wears can now pair with the iPhone (iPhone 5, 5c, 5s, 6, or 6 Plus running iOS 8.2 or later) and is able to receive phone calls, messages, and notifications. You can also set fitness goals while keeping track of your daily or weekly progress while the Smart Help gives timely advice like traffic info, flight statuses, etc.

Watch Urbane while future Android Wear watches from Huawei, Asus, and Motorola will also support Apple’s Operating System. Urbane wearers can download the app now via iTunes.


Iconic Artists Set to Invade your Emojis

Paying tribute to some of the most influential artists this generation has known, Brazilian Art Director Bruno Leo Ribeiro presents “Music Emojis”. Artists like the Village People, Michael Jackson, David Bowie, The Beatles and Lady Gaga have been depicted in an accurate emoji form and would likely make its way to the upcoming iPhone update. Framed by the Sahyadri mountain range, The Panorama House by Ajay Sonar gives a very earthy and natural feel. The house features an open layout that blurs the distinction between the interior and the exterior, which was inspired by mid-century architect Mies van der Rohe. It also features a second floor that overlooks the Maharashtra fields and the Sahyadri mountain range as well. Finished with pigmented concrete to blend the structure to the landscape, the Panorama House is truly a magnificent piece.


Kahn Land Rover Defender Flying Huntsman 6×6

Sealing the deal for the Land Rover’s Defender is this conversion by Kahn Design.

The British-based engineering company tweaked the Land Rover monster to make it even more vicious. Adding an extra 31.5 inches in the rear, the Huntsman features a third axle and extra gear, bringing up the wheel count to a six. Fifteen inches have also been added to the front to make way for the 430hp, 6.2-liter GM-sourced V8 giving it that extra oomph. Showing off its superiority is the “Volcanic Rock Satin” finish, matched with custom red leather seats and Tweed-trimmed upholstery to give it that fiery look.

Sotheby‘s will be auctioning some of the legendary producer’s personal collection. This includes some of The Simpsons memorabilia such as a letterman jacket and a pinball machine.


adidas Originals “Franz Beckenbauer” pack

Former Soccer player Franz Beckenbauer teams up with adidas Originals yet again to bring you the “Franz Beckenbauer” pack.

Known as “Der Kaiser” on the playing field, Beckenbauer’s career went on for two decades where he played for the German National Team and the New York Cosmos. He also inpired one of adidas’ tracksuits and two signature soccer cleats.

The “Franz Beckenbauer” pack will feature two iterations of the Superstar silhouette along with a full line of apparel. The shoes are available in black and grey and will come with “The Kaiser of New York” branding. The collection will also feature T-shirts with graphic prints of the player’s face, jerseys that bear Beckenbauer’s number, and jackets with the player’s nickname.
